Business Jobs Complete/Poll

Finished Office Girl and Personal Secretary yesterday, so they're done with. Hooray. Now it's time to work on Skill Caps. That might take a while, but there's no actual writing to do, so it's just mechanics, which don't take nearly as long.

And then I asked you folks which of the four things on the request list I should work on in the next update (after this one) and the Maid side job won with a pretty decisive 48%. I believe that is what the people call a mandate. I already planned out the basics of how the job will work, so it shouldn't be too bad. I'll get into specifics when I get to that update. It's not the only thing I'll be working on at that point - I'm going to try to do at least 4 things every update - but it'll probably be the biggest, and it'll let me get a couple of things off the request list, which is always a good time.

For each update, what I'm going to try to do is have at least two job updates, one story update, one mechanic change (if there's one that's needed), and one request update. Unless the request update is small, in which case it'll be two request updates. But I figure, four relatively major new things added to the game is a good update.

  1. So, yeah. I'm much excited with the way you have this planned out. It's good to have goals and it's even better that you're letting us know how you're doing on meeting those goals.

As I think of it now, I've just kinda realized that before now, you were kinda drifting haphazardly. You'd maybe work on a job, then focus on working on the ton of requests you had. And so on and so forth.

It wasn't entirely bad or anything, but the game kinda suffered for it. It's, what? A year or so after you started, and you're -just- beginning the second plot point, after all.

I dunno; I like the way you have it planned now. You're not being crushed for time and the requirement to put out a new version every day or anything. I'd, admittedly, lost a lot of interest in Cursed a few months ago. Nothing was really happening. I mean, sure; you were adding this, that, and the other thing, but there was no meat. No reason for me to start a new game and play the same thing again and again.

Now? Now I'm bloody excited to be able to dig into the new, meatier version whenever you are able to post it.

  2. I think this is great and all, but I still feel alot of potential is waiting to be unlocked down the secretary career. Like being made a submissive little breeder slut under your bosses desk, or a domineering executive. Anyways, great work!

    1. While maybe not the way you're thinking, I do have something similar to those two options planned.

  3. Again, I'm not really sure what you thought of my ideas. Should I just assume you've read them, or not bother posting them anymore?

    1. While I don't always reply to comments in a timely fashion, I do read them all.

  4. This is the first time, in a long while that I'm really getting excited for a new update. The new way is perfect and I will donate in a few days simply to show my support of this new style.

Like the person above me said, the secretary career has so many possabilities, it's awesome.

Thanks for your hard work and keep it up.

  5. I'd like to put in a recommendation that an overhaul to export/import be the next mechanics change. :3

    1. It's really what's in most need of a tune up, and as was stated in previous comments, a robust import/export will make all future updates more accessable and enjoyable.

  6. I think the next thing many of us would like to see would be the relationship content.
