Slight Changes

Still working on the next build when I get the time and am not exhausted.

Just changed commenting to require that you log in. Getting tired of anonymous jerkasses that can't be bothered to say things in the open, and so have to hide behind the veil of anonymity. In the future, when I turn anonymous commenting back on, I'll just report them as spam and let the problem take care of itself.

  1. Works for me. Last thing you need to deal with is twats hounding and flaming you. BTW great work on this thus far. I love both Cursed and TTF. Haven't seen anything like Cursed anywhere and I've downloaded tons of rags games.

  2. Makes sense. no likes anonymous trolls. Trolls that have the decency to at least have a screen name at least have some balls.

  3. don't let those unsatisfied jerks get the best of you...you set a target date...some sh*t happened...that's how it goes

I'll keep waiting for the next build...til then, I'll keep playing current Cursed and TTF

  4. I am honestly kind of done with the previous builds of Cursed, played it obsessively for months. I'm eager for the new build.

And yet, I am still willing to patiently wait for it because despite my snark I am a decent human being, and am grateful I get to play it (for free) at all.

Keep up the good work, dude.

  5. Well I'm sorry for the others and I hope you are doing well.

  6. Well, it's certainly going to be much quieter in the comments section, for better or worse.

Still, keep on trucking, we all have our low moments; programmers, authors, or whatever else in the world, no matter who you are, there will always be that one moment that spoils the whole experience.

  7. I think the quieter will be for the better, myself. More people with something to actually contribute.

  8. Speaking of contributing, I have found a few bugs with the current version. On the off chance that any of them are new to you:

    1) When Maria first gives you the Britney quest, she says Britney shot you down back in the prologue, even if you got her number.
    2) Also in the prologue, if you are drunk enough when you try to hit on the sophisticated woman with black hair, you fall on your butt and she leaves unimpressed. However, if you chose the "direct" option, you end up with her number in your inventory anyway.
    3) Speaking of her, wearing the "Elegant Dress" always gives you the message that your clothes are hanging loose on you, even if you've just had it tailored that day.
    4) There also seems to be a bug with Genevieve's relationship meter. I had just reached the stage where we were kissing goodbye after each date. So, right on the threshold of that level, or whatever you call it. I missed one date with her, got the message that she'd be angry about being stood up, and she would never take my call again. I waited weeks and it never recovered.

Hope this is useful! Thanks for all your hard work.

  9. Good idea, this should keep all, or at least most, of the idiots out of here.

As others have said, keep up the good work and we are patient.

  10. Ok, if Anonymous block anonymity, i say it in open. No problem.

I think Anonymous just doesn't want to admit that he is lazy ass and create threads like "Build broke', "Next update ALMOST done" and give us fake deadlines. If you didn't want to work on Cursed - just say it. Stop lying.

    1. Programmers run into walls now and then, you're not paying for anything so he's not obliged to met any deadlines.

Although I'm glad I'm not the only one who find it some what Ironic that 'Anonymousman' bans Anonymity. It made me lol.

    2. We have a name for people like you back where I come from, but I'm afraid it's too obscene to mention it here. So I will just settle with statement that you are selfish, spoiled cunt - which you probaly agree with, at least if you are honest with yourself, that is

    3. Don't limit yourself, baby. Say all you want.

    4. You don't believe him. We get it. Bully for you. Your point has been made, the ones who choose to believe you have read it, and continuing to state the same thing over and over and over and over again is just proving malicious intent rather than anything else. The idea that you are entitled to anything whatsoever for a free game is absolutely laughable.

The simple fact is that he has absolutely no reason to lie to anyone. If he wanted to stop developing tomorrow, he would just have to say so.

There's an old saying: a liar won't believe anyone else. Here's the thing, though - just because you think everyone lies all the time doesn't make it true. That's your problem, not everyone else's.

So keep ranting or shut the hell up, but the fact of the matter is you're accomplishing nothing at this point other than being childish, ignorant, and obnoxious. If that's your intent, groovy, but expect reactions to be appropriate for your intent.

  11. Good idea about the anonymity. People did seem to be more rude when no one knows who they are. Hope ur doing good :D

  14. It seems it's taking more time to check for the error than to create a new build xD

  15. Didn't you say fairly recently that you value anonymity to the point of using a convoluted system to answer emails? Are you the only one worthy of privacy? This new policy won't really affect me since this is the first time I've commented, but surely you see the hypocrisy.

    1. Even not anonymous, even if u use your real name, almost no one knows u on the net ( unless u r Chuck Norris or sth ) so I doubt this will change things, only that it's a bother to login, which will keep the lazy trolls away xD
But still @Anonymous Man: It will be good to at least inform us regulary on what u r doing or what not. As busy as u can be u may spend a minute to write one sentence a day. Keeping ppl uninformed makes them to troll xD Oh and telling the truth is always the best solution even if it hurts :)Also don't bother puting deadlines - we all know that deadlines r meant to be broken xD

Wait... what?! You seem to be confusing "identity" with "persona". AnonymousMan is an online persona. I have no idea what his identity is, hence he is anonymous to me.

All this change does is force people to post using a persona. It has nothing whatsoever to do with your online privacy.

  16. Regardless of the situation, you /should/ try to keep us posted every so often, Anonymous Man. I don't mean that as a command, nor am I posting this in any sort of negative fashion, but even the smallest of charities in the world tend to keep their respective parties well-informed.

    1. On that note, something is going on with Anonymous Man, considering he hasn't posted anything since the 15th of last month on the Fenoxo forums, either.

I fear he may have "been chased off by anonymous trolls" like so many others.

      RIP
