So glad to see that you're still working on Cursed, and hope that we'll see more of the Trials of Taihra-Firanae in the future, as well! I hope everything is going great for you, and I wanted to mention that if you feel inspired to do it, I'd love to see a nightclub as a supplement to the bar, with new NPCs to befriend, woo, seduce, and possibly even date, down the road. The bar, sadly, gets a little stale at times, from repetition. I understand the work that goes into all of it, so no pressure from my side of the aisle, I just thought I'd mention it. A bit of celebrity to go with the busker job - when you get popular and established enough, perhaps with a random encounter after a great performance with a recording executive - with all of the benefits and downsides of said celebrity, would be a fantastic addition. Anyhow, keep up all the great work, Anon, and it's great to see you're back, even if only a little!
I.... I REALLY want to disagree with you because I REALLY like this game, but I'm afraid the evidence isn't favoring my side right now. Hopefully AN is just going through a busy time in his life and things will clear up for him soon. But if not, AN, please just let us know. Please don't leave us hanging. If you need to move on with your life, more power to you. But there are still people who check your blog nearly every day hoping for some word from you.
The fact that Anonymous Man is still working on Cursed (how sporadically it may be), I would not call it dead. And I, at least, rather wait for something good, no matter how long it takes, than taking sub-par games from other sources.
he can have people help make the game if he cant do it rite now he can let the people who can trust to make this game if can not do it it is not bad to have good help he can do it but do he think he have the will to do it alone or get good help i am not a hater i have seen people burnout to life with to much stuff on his plate
I have spent the last week or so playing around with the unlocked version, and it is relatively complex with the amount of systems in there, so I can see after so much time or a hard days work, looking at it again can bog you down (I know that from my own games), but Im sure Anonymous Man will eventually return to it. It could be years, but I'll wait for it.
Well, I checked out NewLife and I have to say while the sex and relationship building in it is better than in this game, Cursed! is still better than it in every other regard. There's just so much more involved in this game that I'm sorry to see it doesn't get the updates it deserves.
Which makes me wonder. If NewLife can have a successful Patreon campaign, what's stopping Cursed!'s author from doing the same? I know I'd want to support it and am pretty sure others would as well.
As long as you dont up and disapear for 3 months again, is all good :P
ReplyDeleteIt makes my day when you post something. Even if I missed it entirely.

ReplyDeleteMore than a year since last game update.
ReplyDeleteIt's dead. :(

DeleteBeen a couple months, could you make a new post to keep us up to date with how things are going? Both for you and the game.
ReplyDeleteFive months since last post, more than a year since last update. It's over, guys. It's over.
ReplyDeleteAnd one month since he said clearly "I'll update it once I have time to do so." on the board. So be patient.
DeleteBro. It's over.

ReplyDeletePlease don't give up on this. It's one of the only games that has a somewhat realistic slice of life setting.
ReplyDeleteIf anyone is looking for a game similar to this, check out NewLife.
ReplyDeleteIt's free, but supported via Patreon, and seems to be receiving frequent updates.
Still looking for any signs of activity on this project.
ReplyDeleteCome on, you're killing me here.

Yeah if he did a Patreon I'dd join that right away. But right now only time will tell.
DeleteHey Anonymous Man. Just wondering what's up. Things alright on your end?
