Good News (Almost) All Around

So, the good news is I got the job. Still waiting on my offer letter to show up in the mail, but yeah, nailed it. I start in a week. It's a pretty regular 8 hours a day job, which is also good, because that means I can work on things in my spare time. Like Cursed. It does, however, mean that development (which admittedly has been a little slow lately) will likely be slower than expected. If you're doing the whole Patreon thing, please take that into account.

The bad news is I got a tick bite on my leg a couple of days ago. Not serious, but a tick bite can carry disease. I'm keeping an eye on it. I'm not sure why I shared that. It's pretty inconsequential.

It's been a busy few weeks, all the stuff that's been going on in my life. I'm hoping that having a job again means that I'll be able to settle down into a routine, which is something I miss. Having a routine lets me plan out my weeks, instead of having all kinds of time to procrastinate. "I'll work on it later" is the death of projects in my life.

But yeah, thought I'd share the news. I'm working on Cursed off-camera today, just pecking at it as I go and do other things.

Oh, and my birthday is coming up! Which is cool and makes me feel old and I doubt I'm getting anything terribly extravagant.

  1. I had lyme disease, knocked the crap out of me for six months. That was when I would out just how awesome my wife is. She had that figured out weeks before I did, even knew I was "off" before I did.

However, it doesn't always present a rash before symptoms start and worsen. If you can swing it, see a doctor.

    1. What this guy said. If you're from Lyme disease areas, you can get ill before the classic bullseye rash/necrosis starts. Lethargy, fevers, sweats, chills. It comes on like a cold and can play havoc. Bloodwork is also hit or miss for weeks but if you're insured I'd let a doctor at least give you a once over.

  2. Not the best time now that you got a new job to get possibly sick, so yes, go be seen by a physician if you can!

  10. Anyone currently watching this blog waited for almost a year before updates reumed. I'm pretty sure you could vanish for the summer and most of us would care little.

Whenever your birthday is, enjoy it, and hopefully lyme holds off. I know people who battled it and could not function as well as they did before the bite. Keep vigilant for it.

  11. BUG REPORT!!!!

Hi there, just a bug report.

I started a new game with the latest version of cursed (version: 0.5.3.2) and if its time for my first rent, i pay it, but the next day comes this:

Your rent is now officially overdue. You're going to need to see your building manager to either pay your rent or strike some kind of bargain...

Normaly it has worked and i dont now what i did wrong... Played normaly like ever and used no cheats....
Can someone help me? I will try to download an older version of cursed and see if it happens there too, but i cant remember having this problem ever before.
Has someone a solution to this problem? Am i doing something wrong?

Pls HELP! can´t play it farther than early June...
