Just a Heads Up (Policy Change)

It's been a busy month. Getting up at a specific time, putting on a tie, driving to work, training, all that wonderful stuff. Along with family things and other projects, I just haven't had much time.

I just wanted to give a notice: rather than shutting down Patreon intermittently, I'm going to do something different. If there is a month in which I don't spend enough time on Cursed to justify getting paid, all Patreon donations for that month will be refunded.

I'm not going to accept money for doing nothing at all. Not what I'm about at all.

Hopefully once my schedule evens out I'll have some more time. Maybe once training ends in 8-10 weeks. I wish I was kidding.

    1. I believe you can just set it up to take donations whenever there's a significant update instead of it triggering monthly. There's several Patreon projects that does this. There must be some kind of setting for that option somewhere like where you click a button to take donations when you decide it's a good time for an update. For course, not being a creator, I'm not positive.

    2. What this guy said: You can make it so you get paid on releases. Like, the Misfile comic is paid per page update.

This is how you should have it. :)

  2. I'm just glad you're still working on Cursed, despite a lot of trouble going your way in the last... what, years? You always came back to it when most people would have just left it collecting dust in a corner of their harddrive.

I admire that kind of tenacity and loyalty to a project and I hope training and work aren't too hard on you.

  3. So what do you think about idea of bonuses for maxing out skills?

  4. Shoot, if it takes 8-10 weeks or more, looks like that's how long I'm waiting.

  5. I'm honestly not sure how well Patreon will take to you refunding people if it happens too often.

  6. I don't speak for everyone, but I for one would be happy to pay for Cursed even when you are not actively working on it. I think its a great project, one of (if not THE) best adult games out there. This is a masterpiece, and no masterpiece was ever finished in a day. You need time to visualize your moves. Sometimes working on a project means taking a step back from it and thinking about where it needs to go next. Sometimes doing nothing at all is the best move if you don't yet know where to go next. I would much rather see a brilliant well thought out feature than one impulsively thrown in just to show your backers you are making progress.

  7. Definitely worth the wait. I've waited a long time for updates and was not disappointed, now is no different. You have done a wonderful job on your game and if we had hundreds of thousands willing to play it... well it'd be more then just a text based game I'm sure. Sadly us devoted few eagerly await your next update and I hope life goes well for you. If only life could be as awesome as it is in your game~

  8. I agree, take as long as you need man, we'll be here when you're able to come back! If I had a stable job I'd be helping you out on patreon, and I wouldn't mind paying even on off months.
