Plans for Tomorrow

I just figured I'd put this here rather than worrying about remembering it tomorrow.

To Do
- Add a feature to the testing item that sets player stats at the minimum required for the next job promotion. Note: this will cause problems with clothes not fitting, but you know what? Fuck it.
- Change the tailor interaction to include the following: Tailor Current Clothes, Tailor Clothing Group, Tailor All Clothes.
- Look into whether a one-time use timer can be run on the start of loading a save game to make sure that certain things have occurred as intended (computer programs that have been bought are loaded on the computer).
- Buy Planescape Torment and Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura from GOG.com because someone specifically donated and requested that I do so.

  2. The donator has good tastes. I've never played Planescape Torment, but Arcanum is a great game.

  3. Have to agree with Andru and donator...Acranum is a VERY good game. Lots of "sandbox" stuff you can do outside of the main quest...haven't played Planescape though.

  4. Planescape is awesome, however if GOG.com didn't patch the game (i would assume they did do this)it will break at the end, before you actually beat it. There's a way to fix it if GOG.com didn't but you'd have to search the web for it, once again I assume they fixed it. Planescape is a Black Isle/early Bioware game, they got lazy on moving it over to America though and just ported the European version over w/o actually porting it, least that's how I understood it at the time. However if you ever played IWD or BG1/2 you'll know how to play this game. Despite the frustration that particular bug caused once i got it fixed the game was awesome and I actually played it through again. Figured I'd offer some warning there though, also Arcanum is just pure win, just sayin.

  6. PS:T is possibly the best game I've played. An exhibit A for videogame as a genuine artform, it's brimming with thematic content like no other game I've played. You can dig deep into that game, think about it for months and still come up with new interesting ideas brought up by it. It's a masterpiece, plain and simple.

As another user mentioned before, its subsequent releases have been buggy, but to fix most of these and enhance the overall game experience it is highly recommended you follow THIS before playing:

    Cheers, and have fun!

  7. Thanks for the stat changer, it will be much appreciated.

Have fun playing your two new games. I'd try Planescape Torment first: the quirky setting and very story-centered nature of the game make for a great combo, even if the combat is iffy. First game I played where you could actually pass a stat check and stone cold kill someone through a dialogue box... nice. Combat isn't so hot though.

I recommended PS:T first because Arcanum was so unfinished and unpolished that I couldn't play through it. The game felt very unfocused. I neither found a great deal of "sandbox" elements to play with, nor did the main story start to shape up into something interesting before I quit. I understand it's supposed to get better but I couldn't hang in. Might have to try again at a later date.

  11. - Add a feature to the testing item that sets player stats at the minimum required for the next job promotion

erm...does this mean it only set the stats of the player or it will force the game to create a promotion prompt afterwards?

will it be possible to have the stats become lowered if it sets the player stats into the minimum requirement?

  12. War..... War never changes.
I highly recommend you also grab the two Fallouts from gog if you haven't already =)
From what I understand arcanum is alot like Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines in thats its really buggy and kinda shitty without all those lovely community members fixing all the problems and bugs.
