Been struggling with this one for a while. Depression has reared it's ugly head. I thought it was just a temporary thing for a day or two, but it's been almost a week now.
I'm working through it as best I can, and I'm hoping that by naming it I can tell it to fuck right off, but it's difficult.
I might stream today, might not. I will announce if I do.
Really, really sorry.

Monday (Progress Report)
Worked on a patreon backer's custom event today. There's a chance that, when you go to the park, there will be a magician setting up for a show with his assistant, which you can then watch. The show will have the option of giving a tip or stealing money at the end (if you have a relatively low morality), and you'll get an arousal reduction for watching it. There's two versions of the show: normal and excellent, with the excellent show giving a bigger arousal reduction but not allowing you to not leave a tip (you're just so dazzled!).
The thing that I still need to add is the option where the magician's assistant is not there. The magician will plead with you to be his assistant temporarily, offering to pay you for your time. Because of the costume, you'll have the chance of getting a notch on the wing growth counter if you accept, unless you have magic, in which case it will increase that stat instead. And you'll get some money.
It's a fairly simple event, but it does add some flavor to the game and the park, so I enjoyed putting it together.
I'm thinking that I might have a release out on Friday? Maybe. We'll see. Don't hold me to that.

Absence of Stream
Sorry, folks, real life, in addition to other projects, has intruded yet again. Commence eye-rolling.
I might have a weekend stream though. We'll see how that goes.

Wednesday (Progress Report)
Ugh, no focus today.
I did complete another interview for the reporter job, so that's good. I'll probably stop with three for this update before moving on to something else possibly reporter related, because man, it is mind-numbing.

Tuesday (Progress Report)
Two more interviews sketched in. Well, technically, just the prep work, but since I had to make that from scratch, I had to spend some time figuring out how that system worked. Feels like I made some progress.
Now to spend my afternoon answering emails and hopefully not getting charged tax by a stupid state.

Monday (No Stream)
The specter of insomnia strikes again. I am very tired. I got to sleep at a normal time, but woke up ridiculously early. In addition, my computer is doing another hours long upload that means streaming would be pretty impossible anyway.
I'll likely be pecking away at Cursed off camera, though, Setting up variables and stuff. A lot of technical stuff that isn't very interesting to watch. Don't know how far I'll get (I might just end up passing out from exhaustion), but it's stuff that needs to be done, so I'll do my best.

Friday (Progress Report)
Stream is over.
For anyone that's curious, while journalism will have the occasional sexy event, it is not intended to be sexy. It will likely have the fewest opportunities for sexual activity out of the three main jobs. However, that being said, it will also probably have the most opportunities to branch out and try other things.
So there's now another journalism promotion: Reporter. The biggest difference in this promotion is that you'll be tasked with interviewing various people (a total of six possibilities). The interview I did today is a "last minute" interview, where you don't have a lot of prep time, but it's pretty straightforward. The key with interviews is that you have to balance your need for journalism with the interviewee's need to get their message across. If you act too confrontational, they'll get mad and end the interview early - no one likes to be attacked. On the other hand, if you're too lax, you won't get the story you need. This first interview isn't too difficult, but you can still mess it up if you don't play your cards right (or don't have the skills necessary to play your cards right).
The other five interviews will mostly follow the same structure, with the caveat that you'll have time to prepare your own research before the interview. If you research the right stuff, you'll be able to catch your interviewee in a lie or when they're trying to mislead you. If you research the wrong stuff, you'll have fewer opportunities to do so.
On top of all of that, you might run into other problems. Maybe your editor wants you to spin a story a certain way, even though the facts don't support the story. Maybe you decide to get creative with a dull story and make it into something it isn't. All of that affects your Journalistic Integrity. This stat starts high and drops lower as you compromise the story, and can go up when you stick to your ethical guns. No one really cares about your Integrity, though...except the ethics review board. This is a random event where you can get called to the floor on your reporting. If you've been naughty, expect to get demoted or even fired.
The Journalism career is actually a misnomer, as it's more about being in media. Future promotions will include becoming a TV personality, or even a radio personality (which could spin off to a radio DJ or a dance club DJ), or maybe you'll get shunted to style and fashion reporting. That's quite a ways off, but I wanted to assure people that I do have this shit planned out.
Anyway, now comes the weekend. Yay!

Thursday (Progress Report)
Woo, it's St. Patrick's Day, woo. I'm not drinking.
Stream is over: managed to finish up the office party (male) for the call girl. Gonna switch gears tomorrow and work on the journalism career track for a while. It needs some love.
Speaking of random holidays, I do have a plan in place for actual holidays in the game. Tired of working on Christmas Day, or wish you had an excuse to go watch fireworks in July? I have that sort of stuff planned out, but it's a ways off: there's a lot of stuff that needs to be set up in advance of that.

Wednesday (Progress Report)
Stream is over. I mostly finished one of the call girl jobs, then realized that I kept getting distracted. Still getting into the swing of things after a week and a half but I'm getting there.
In regards to comments, I know that the business and journalism careers are, right now, pretty light on content. I have some content planned out for them already that I will be adding before the next update, so that's something to look forward to.

Tuesday (Progress Report)
Stream is over. Didn't go as long as I wanted, but I got some stuff done.
I fixed some more reported bugs and typos, so that's fun.
I also finally got around to filling out the clothing descriptions, so no more nonsense with incomplete clothing descriptions. Of course, that's only part of the battle. The eventual plan is to have a total of four clothing description arrays, one for normal (which is the one that's now complete), one for high arousal, one for futanari, and one for futanari with high arousal. Unfortunately, RAGS doesn't allow the copying of arrays, so it's a bit of a pain to get all the clothing descriptions done (there's about 400 clothing description fields, not including the ones that change based on other factors, such as maternity clothes and the special outfit).
I also started working on the other three special Call Girl jobs. I'm sure everyone's familiar with the wedding job by now, but there's actually three others that I've had planned forever: the office party, the family reunion and the illegal job. The office party has two variations based on whether the client is male or female, with a mostly similar structure, but different requirements: the male client wants you to pretend to be his wife, while the female client wants you to pretend to be her girlfriend. The guy is interested in you sexually, while the girl isn't. So you might get the same choices, but depending on your client, the "best" answers would be different.
The family reunion special event has three variations: a male that wants you to pretend to be his girlfriend, a female that wants you to pretend to be her friend, and a female that wants you to be as obnoxious to her family as possible.
And finally, the illegal job is the one that's least likely to have sex: you're hired to either be a distraction, a pickpocket, or to assist in a kidnapping. Needless to say, these jobs are super bad from a moral standpoint, but you WILL have the option of taking the job and then screwing over your clients by messing up their plans. This will not result in you getting paid, but it might let you sleep a bit better at night. Alternatively, you could go through with it for the chance at the best payday in the game (more than $1000 for one day's work).
So I think that's what I'll work on for a while, and then maybe more on to other job related stuff. The business and journalism careers need some love too.

Monday (Progress Report)
Many, many apologies for last week. I finally broke the terrible grip of insomnia last night, but last week was more like walking around like a zombie than anything.
But I'm back to work. Today I did a lot of relatively minor bug fixes and typo corrections. Nothing too major, but stuff that makes the game work better, so it was worthwhile. I also actually wrote the sex scene for the maid job, because I found out today that I never did that. Good job, me. Good job.
I think there's still some bugs that need fixing, so I'll do that tomorrow morning, and then work on some new stuff. By which I mean expanding existing content rather than adding entirely new content. Just need to figure out where to start.

Tuesday and (Possibly) Wednesday
I know I said I'd be back today one way or another, but as it turns out, while I am finally getting over being sick (while still struggling with crippling insomnia, whoo), my mother-in-law has become very sick. Nothing life-threatening, but enough that she requires serious care and has to stay home from work. Considering the fact that she takes a sick day about as often as a blue moon, it's kind of a big deal.
And I, fresh from recovering from being sick, get to tend to a sick person. Great.
She has a doctor's appointment tomorrow morning, and if she's feeling well enough, she may go back to work, but as it is, I'm probably going to be stuck looking after her tomorrow as well.
I'm really, really sorry about the last week. It feels like I've done literally no work on the game in almost ten days, and it's really frustrating. Just, please, bear with me for just a little longer.

Monday (Still Sick Day)
I am so tired of being sick.
I'll be back tomorrow one way or another, sick or not, because I'm quite frankly tired of it.
Sorry for the delays.

Thursday (Sick Day)
Sorry, feeling a little under the weather today. There's something going around and babies are fucking disease factories. Never hug a baby. EVER.
I'll hopefully be back tomorrow.

Wednesday (Progress Report)
My pappy always said, "Son, after you've released an update to your adult life sim game, always take a couple of days off to clear your head and wait for the more obscure bugs to be reported." And that's advice that just sounds pretty good to me.
Okay, my dad never said that, but if he did, it would still sound like good advice to me.
A few bugs were fixed today, nothing REALLY substantial or game-breaking, but annoying nonetheless.
The other thing I did was work out rent, so that it's (theoretically) charged on the first day of the month instead of every thirty days. I haven't tested the system yet, so hopefully it works when I do.
And then the OTHER thing I did today was add a Patreon-requested random event. Now there's a chance that you can get propositioned to give a guy a blowjob. If you're a cum addict, there's no thinking about it, it just happens. If you've got relatively high inhibitions (71+), then you won't do it, but you can kick him in the balls to add to sadist and reduce your morality and inhibitions a little bit. Otherwise, you can take him up on the offer or kick him in the dick. This event will add to cum addict if you give him the blowjob: no matter what you choose, he will cum in your mouth if you give him the blowjob. Sometimes you don't have control.
I also thought of a way to change cum addict up a little bit. Instead of just being super addicted to cum when you get the trait, I think I'll change it so that you get a Cum Lover trait first, which means that you love cum, obviously, and want it a lot. Cum Addict, on the other hand, means that you need cum, like a drug. Haven't implemented that yet, but it's a thought.
Also, Patreon pledges for February have been processed - and thank you to everyone that pledged and supported the game, it is very much appreciated - and the winners of the lotteries have been contacted via Patreon, so check your notifications to see if you've won.
